Phone Repair : Formatting your Phone

Flashing a mobile phone refers to the process of re-programming a mobile phone's firmware. Whenever you encounter issues such as phone restarting, hanging, no signal, etc or your phone even becomes dead, there are problems with your phone's firmware. And all it requires is flashing.


Primarily you need to download phoenix, a software used also for flashing. The download link is

Now you are in need of phone data package of your specific requirement. I'm here with the link of nokia 3110c RM-237_DP20_3.00_sw-05.50 ( as nokia 3110c is going to be flashed here). You can download the date package you entail.

You can as well search for the newer versions of data package of nokia 3110c.

Next to these, follow the steps:

If your phone is completely dead
  1. Install phoenix and phone data package
  2. Run phoenix
  3. Go to file and then manage connections
  4. delete usb and select no connection 
  5. Again, file and then open product- mobile type (here rm 237 for nokia 3110c rm 237)-ok
  6. Go to flashing menu, firmware update, select product code and then refurbish
  7. Follow the steps
If your phone isn't completely dead and you're facing other problems
  1. Install phoenix and phone data package
  2. Run phoenix
  3. Go to file and then manage connections
  4. new-usb 
  5. Again, file and then scan product or open product as ur wish-mobile type (here rm 237 for nokia 3110c rm 237)-ok
  6. Go to flashing menu, firmware update, select product code or leave default and then refurbish
  7. Follow the steps
As the flashing completes, you can enjoy your phone with the firmware re-programmed and all defects removed.
All the information is lost and your phone goes to the state as that of when you've just bought it. So backup your data before
